JMC Yoto Nymph

The JMC Yoto Nymph reel is a true revolution for modern nymph fishing, a semi-automatic fly reel with a unique French design specifically conceived for the needs of anglers primarily using monofilaments. Its main innovation is the ceramic line guide integrated into the lower part of the frame, which effectively protects the line from abrasion and facilitates retrieve thanks to its extremely smooth surface and resistant material.

This reel offers exceptional retrieve capability: a single action on the lever allows approximately two meters of line to be wound, a crucial feature in Euro Nymph fishing where direct contact is vital. During a fish fight, the lever allows for rapid retrieval of excess line, instantly transferring control to the drag system. Subsequently, managing the catch is done via the traditional retrieve knob, making the operation comfortable even with thin lines or large fish. It is important to note that the Yoto Nymph is designed for right-hand use.

The micrometric drag, easily adjustable via a large and comfortable knob, ensures maximum tippet protection, which is fundamental in nymph fishing where thin leaders are often used to get nymphs deep quickly. Built with JMC's renowned quality, it is entirely milled from a block of 6061 aluminum, with the exception of the lightweight composite retrieve lever, for an overall weight of only 144 grams. This lightness makes it ideal for balancing the long rods used in Euro Nymphing. Its elegant metallic gray color is enhanced by a contrasting orange knob. The large arbor spool minimizes line memory, and the reel has a nominal capacity for a WF #3 plus 20 meters of backing. For added convenience, spare spools are available, and the reel comes with a protective neoprene case.
