Pheasant Tail - Jig Nymph (Modern Variant) The mother of all nymphs, updated with a modern heart.
If I had to choose only one nymph to fish anywhere in the world, it would be the Pheasant Tail. Invented by Frank Sawyer, it is the universal imitation of ephemeroptera (mayflies). Our Jig version respects tradition but enhances it with modern materials to increase effectiveness in pressured waters.
The Classic Soul (Body): The body and tail are made of natural Pheasant tail fibers. This material offers a silhouette and a reddish-brown color that perfectly mimic most nymphs found in our rivers. It is the foundation of the fish's trust.
The Modern Heart (Thorax): Here lies the evolution. Instead of fragile natural peacock herl, we use Peacock Spectra Dubbing. This synthetic material replicates the peacock's iridescence but adds durability and, above all, micro-reflections that increase visibility without distorting the imitation.
The Trigger (Collar): A Hot Fluo Orange thread collar closes the fly. It is a small "hot spot" that acts as an aiming point, transforming a purely imitative nymph into a lure that can also provoke a reaction strike.
