The Guideline HALO fly reel stands out in its price range for superior material quality and excellent manufacturing. Crafted from a single block of CNC machined aluminum, this large arbor (LA) reel ensures an excellent on-water experience and impeccable functionality. All models feature a closed frame for enhanced structural stability and to prevent thinner lines or fly lines from escaping the spool during retrieve. The Large Arbor design guarantees fast line retrieve and reduced line memory. The sealed drag system, based on a modern concept with stacked carbon and stainless steel discs, is extremely smooth and precise, protecting internal components from the elements. Guideline has optimized drag power with two different settings: 1.5 kg for the three smaller sizes (#2/3, #4/5, #6/7) and 4.0 kg for the three larger sizes (#8/9), maximizing resistance during fish fights. The retrieve direction is easily convertible from right to left. The finish is an elegant stealth black with chrome details. The HALO range covers a wide variety of applications, from Euro Nymphing (#2/3) to dry fly fishing and light streamers (#4/5), from trout streamer fishing (river and sea) (#6/7) to pike fishing or heavier coastal fishing (#8/9). The reel comes with a nylon case, and replacement spools are available.
