Killer Grayling - Jig Nymph The Grayling magnet. Classic base, pink heart, and CDC.
The Killer Grayling is a jig nymph designed specifically to target Grayling (Thymallus thymallus), scientifically exploiting their weaknesses. It is a fly that balances the confidence of a classic nymph with the aggression of modern materials.
The Base of Trust (Body): The body is made of black pheasant tail, ribbed with silver copper wire. This combination creates a dark, natural, and slim silhouette, perfect for deceiving fish in medium-fast waters that have already refused overly flashy lures.
The Trigger for Grayling (Thorax): The real secret of its effectiveness on this fish is in the thorax. We inserted a mix of Pink Spectra Dubbing and Grey CDC. It is known that grayling are strongly attracted to pink/purple: the Spectra provides this irresistible chromatic "trigger," while the CDC adds vital movement and traps air bubbles typical of an emergence phase.
The Aiming Point: An Orange Hot Fluo thread collar closes the fly, providing a final point of contrast that guides the attack. It is the definitive lure for days dedicated to thymallus.
