Chernobyl Ant – The Terrestrial Dry Fly for Aggressive Fish
The Chernobyl Ant is a Dry Fly designed to mimic terrestrial insects such as ants, grasshoppers and beetles that accidentally end up in the water. With its foam body and rubber legs, this fly offers excellent buoyancy and a natural movement that attracts the most aggressive fish.
This fly is ideal for hunting fishing, where trout and grayling are looking for large, easy-to-spot prey. It can also be used in a hopper-dropper setup, paired with a light nymph to explore different water layers.
How to Fish with the Chernobyl Ant – Dry Fly
Perfect for summer fishing, when terrestrial insects are abundant and frequently fall into the water. The dead-drift presentation is effective to simulate a drifting insect, but a light call can stimulate more decisive attacks. Works well in rough and fast water, where its buoyancy makes it highly visible to fish. Ideal for hunting fishing, casting near grassy banks, submerged logs and shaded areas.
Add the Chernobyl Ant to your dry fly selection and take advantage of its ability to attract fish with its imposing presence!
